2022 Show-Me 100

May 28 - Lucas Oil Speedway, Wheatland, Mo. (Lucas Oil)

WinnerChris Ferguson$50,000

The story

Chris Ferguson erased Jonathan Davenport’s dominant run with a lap-89 pass and captured the first $50,000 Show-Me 100 winner’s share.

The 30th Show-Me 100 drew 63 cars to Lucas Oil Speedway. Johnny Scott won Thursday’s Cowboy Classic, but rain claimed Friday’s Tribute to Don and Billie Gibson and left the weekend with only one completed preliminary feature.

Jonathan Davenport controlled most of Saturday’s 100-lapper, leading laps 1 through 9, 12 through 62 and 67 through 88. Scott briefly led laps 10 and 11, and Ricky Thornton Jr. held the top spot from lap 63 through 66. Ferguson made the decisive move on lap 89 and led the final 12 circuits.

Ferguson collected $50,000 as the 15th different winner in event history. Thornton finished second, followed by Tim McCreadie, Jimmy Owens and Chad Simpson, while Davenport faded to 16th after leading 80 laps.
