The story
Hudson O’Neal became the fifth and final leader on lap 69, then completed the first father-son pairing in Show-Me 100 history.
Rain erased Thursday’s program and forced both preliminary features into Friday. Tim McCreadie led all 45 laps of the rescheduled Cowboy Classic, while Josh Richards won the 40-lap Tribute to Don and Billie Gibson. Their victories highlighted a compressed weekend that still drew 58 Late Models.
Saturday’s 100-lapper changed hands four times before Hudson O’Neal made the decisive move. Richards led laps 1 through 4, Shane Clanton laps 5 through 12, Jimmy Owens laps 13 through 40 and McCreadie laps 41 through 68. O’Neal took over on lap 69 and led the final 32 circuits for the $30,000 victory.
Brandon Sheppard finished second, followed by Richards, McCreadie and Clanton. The emotional win placed Hudson beside his father, 2014 winner Don O’Neal, as the first father and son to win the Show-Me 100.
