The story
Brandon Kinzer qualified fastest among 88 cars on May 28, 2005, but Schlieper and Bloomquist emerged as the early feature leaders after both won heat races.
Schlieper led the first 17 laps before Bloomquist took command. Bloomquist paced the final 83 circuits for the $39,000 victory, with Wendell Wallace second and Schlieper third. Don O’Neal and Steve Francis rounded out the top five.
The win gave Bloomquist four Show-Me 100 titles and moved him alone atop the event’s winners list. The 24-car feature paid a listed total of $157,050.
