The story
The 11th Show-Me 100 brought exactly 100 cars to West Plains Motor Speedway on May 24, 2003. Steve Francis set fast time at 15.932 seconds and won his heat, while Bloomquist reached the feature through a consolation race.
McDowell led the opening 31 laps before Bloomquist moved ahead. Bloomquist stayed in front through lap 100 and earned $37,000, with Francis second, Billy Moyer third, Terry Phillips fourth and Dan Schlieper fifth.
The victory was Bloomquist’s first since 1995 and made him the third driver to win the race more than once. The 24-car feature distributed $156,050 in listed payouts.
