The story
Dale McDowell qualified fastest among 89 cars on May 25, 2002, but Wallace won his heat and carried that momentum into the feature.
Wallace led all 100 laps and collected $36,000. McDowell finished second, Bob Pierce third, Skip Arp fourth and Scott Bloomquist fifth.
The 25-car field received $170,800 in posted payouts. Wallace became the seventh different winner in ten Show-Me 100s and added his name to the event’s short list of wire-to-wire champions.
