The story
The third Show-Me 100 drew 82 cars to West Plains Motor Speedway on May 27, 1995. Billy Moyer set fast time at 14.000 seconds, but the feature developed into the most frequently changing race in the event’s young history.
Tony Cardin, Moyer, Rick Aukland and Freddy Smith each led before Bloomquist moved ahead on lap 76. Bloomquist led the final 25 laps for the $30,000 victory, with Smith second and Aukland third.
Bloomquist had reached the feature through a consolation race, making the win more notable than a simple late-race pass. The posted payouts totaled $142,600, continuing the event’s rapid growth through its first three editions.
