The story

Jimmy Owens regained the lead twice and controlled the final 18 laps to earn his first Show-Me 100 victory.

The second Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway drew 81 cars on May 28, 2011. John Blankenship set fast time at 15.569 seconds, while Owens earned his feature position by winning a heat race.

Owens led the opening six laps before Dan Schlieper took over. Owens returned to the front for laps 19 through 37, then watched Don O’Neal lead the next 45 circuits. Owens reclaimed the top spot on lap 83 and stayed there through the finish.

The $30,000 victory made Owens the ninth different Show-Me 100 winner. Scott Bloomquist finished second, followed by Steve Casebolt, Brian Birkhofer and Chris Brown. The 30-car feature distributed $88,350 in listed payouts.
